Our Principles

Park Piedmont Advisors is a fiduciary. That means we take the time to get to know each of our clients, and will recommend only investments we believe are in each of our client’s best interest, with an asset allocation that meets each client’s specific objectives at acceptable levels of risk. (We define risk as the likelihood of a portfolio declining significantly in value in a time frame when our client needs to use the funds.)

We use low-cost, tax-efficient, indexed investments to implement each client’s asset allocation. Our investing approach is consistent with the principles advocated by notable investors and academics, including Warren Buffett; David Swensen, Chief Investment Officer at Yale University; Professor Burton Malkiel, Chemical Bank Chairman’s Professor of Economics at Princeton University; and John Bogle, founder and retired CEO of The Vanguard Group. We keep fees and expenses low, and pass these lower costs on to our clients.

We focus on timely, useful communication, and pride ourselves on our availability to our clients. We publish Monthly Comments on a variety of financial and related topics of interest to our clients in an effort to raise their investing and financial knowledge. And we send our clients a series of quarterly communications to keep them fully informed on the status of their asset allocations and investment results.

We are relationship-driven. We come to know our clients and their families, understanding their goals, priorities, concerns, and deeply held values. Finally, we consider ourselves privileged to work with, advise, and learn from our clients.
